Most popular New Year Resolutions for 2016

2016 is fast approaching and the most popular New Year resolutions are out in force. Colonic irrigation? Sounds painful but increasing in popularity in Ireland, taking out gym membership? – An oldie but still a favourite or just promising to binge-watch the latest box set favourites such as Breaking Bad or Homeland? Of course each year brings personal goals for many Irish people but the old favourite has to be losing weight and getting back in shape.

Make a list of Popular 2016 New Years Resolutions to get Realistic Target this Year

Once the holidays are over and the last of the turkey and ham is gone, what other ways are we pledging to be better people, and make a difference to our own and the lives of others? It’s true that old habits die hard and just a many people this year as last will say that getting fit is their number one priority. Top of the list of our New Year resolutions is to stay fit and healthy with losing weight coming a close second. Spending less money and trying to save more is also popular, closely followed by spending more time with family and friends. Lots of people promise to be more organized in 2016 and of course promise to travel more or indeed learn a new language in an effort to exercise their brain!

Comparing this years popular New Year resolutions with last year shows there’s no much difference in the choices of resolution but it’s interesting that most people who undertake to lose weight don’t actually follow a recognized weight loss plan. It’s certainly well documented that RTE’s Operation Transformation will be a big help to many thousands of Irish people who decide that this year they want to lose some weight and get some support while they are doing it. It’s thought that a lot of the issues with weight loss and diets in general are the fact that people continue to snack and undo all the good work they started. On top of this people are also using the latest smart technology to help improve and motivate their weight loss. Of course there is an app for almost everything these days and weight loss is no exception.

Apart from the very popular heart-monitoring apps, the latest trend is calorie trackers, complimented with energy bars and protein drinks. With apps available either for your smart phone or watch, there’s no getting away from the fact that there is no real excuse not to stick to your 2016 New Year resolution and reach a realistic target.

Unbeatable Value Compatible Canon CLI 521 Ink Cartridges Starting From €1 each, this Christmas

Unbeatable Christmas Prices for Compatible Canon CLI 521 Ink Cartridges The very latest high quality compatible Canon CLI 521 ink cartridges are now available online for as little as €1 per cartridge plus VAT with low cost delivery across Ireland and the UK. They comes with an ink volume of 9ml for each of the four colours; black, cyan, magenta, yellow and a whopping 19ml for the large black, these ink cartridges are certainly exceptional value for money.

These compatible ink cartridges will run smoothly in over a dozen Canon printers and are generally accepted by the same printers with no issues. Occasionally, when any Canon CLI 521 ink cartridges are installed (original or compatible) the print quality may seem a little different with streaks or faded colours. This can be easily overcome by performing a head cleaning operation. The main reason for poor quality printing is blocked heads on the printer and there are usually two ways to overcome this, this will depend on the printer type and how you access the head cleaning facility.

For those printers with a control panel on the face or front of the machine then it will be possible to access the maintenance by selecting the arrow and scrolling to the maintenance tab. Next scroll or select head cleaning (this may be represented by a tool symbol). Select head cleaning and clean heads. This may take a few minutes and the printer will make a buzzing sounds as the ink is forced through the print heads in an attempt to clear any blockage that is causing the poor print quality. The option will then appear to print a test page, select yes or print test page and view the results to determine if another head cleaning procedure is necessary. It may be necessary to perform the head cleaning procedure 5 or 6 times if there is a stubborn head clog on the printer.

The option for those printers that do not have a maintenance interface on the front of the printer is to access the head cleaning procedure via your PC or laptop. The simplest way is to open any document and go to file>print>properties>maintenance>head cleaning. This will give the same result just a different way of accessing the head cleaning and head alignment procedures.

The Canon CLI 521 ink cartridges are ideal for replacing individual ink cartridges, for example, if the yellow cartridge runs out then you just replace the yellow and not the full set of five. The great value compatible non-original ink cartridges make printing affordable and cost effective at home and in the office.

Printing a Colourful Personalised 2016 Wall Planner for Home or the Office

Printing a personalised wall planner or calendar for 2016 can be fun when you personalise the artwork. It’s simple enough task to make the wall planner by printing it on your own home or office printer. Start with downloading a template from the internet preferably in Microsoft Word and begin by marking off the important dates such as birthdays or anniversaries (pretty much the same way as you would on a standard calendar. If for example it is a birthday of a loved one or friend, insert a photo of the person for that date and have a visual reminder of the person as well as the date. Kids will love the idea of having their photo on a wall planner or calendar and will look forward to the important date (usually their birthday) with extra enthusiasm especially when they come to the month of the year that is most important to them. Another suggestion is to have Christmas Day represented with a photo from the previous years visit to Santa’s Grotto, the kids will be madly excited for this to be revealed in pictures!

The size of the wall planner may be determined by the output of your printer. If your printer prints A3 sheets then a wall planner template for that size will be necessary and obviously the printer will print to that size. If your printer is A4 then it will be possible to print two A4 prints and tape them together to make them up to A3 size. Depending on the amount of images that you have in your wall planner, the printer may use a lot of ink but if you are using compatible ink cartridges then the cost to you will be minimal. Most of today’s printers will accept the non-genuine compatible ink cartridges without any real issues and with the cost a fraction of the price of the original brand cartridges all your printing will be very affordable

A nice glossy finish on the paper will further enhance any images on the print whether it’s for a wall planner or a calendar. You can buy the paper, matt or glossy, online or locally and set your printer to print glossy or matt through your printer properties. If you use the correct corresponding setting for the type of paper you are using the quality of the print will be so much better as the printer will distribute the ink according to the paper type.

Compatible Canon CLI-526 Ink Cartridges Outselling Original Brands by Two to One

Canon Ink Cartridges Save almost 100% over Original Ones
Latest figures from the UK and Ireland suggest that sales of compatible Canon CLI 526 ink cartridges are out performing their original brand counterparts by two to one! Bearing in mind the extortionate prices that are being charged for the original brand ink cartridges it’s hardly surprising that many people have switched to using the compatible version. Printing has become a growing expense in the office and at home (it’s estimated that the average family now has at least 2 home printers compared to one or no printer at all 5 years ago).

In the past the quality or reliability of the non-original cartridges may have been an issue but with the compatible cartridges now being manufactured to the same ISO standard there is virtually no difference at all. The compatible Canon CLI 526 ink cartridges are ideal for everyday general purpose printing and come in packs of 5 cartridges; CLI 526 black, CLI 526 cyan, CLI 526 magenta, CLI526 yellow and PGI525 black. As with the original brand, the beauty of using the Canon compatibles is that you only have to replace one cartridge at a time as and when the ink runs out. The cartridges are available to buy online for as little as €1 each plus VAT and come with low cost next day delivery across Ireland and the UK.

Compatible cartridges in general are becoming more and more popular for both inkjet and laser toner printers. Savings gained by using compatible inkjet cartridges can be as much as 100% when compared to the original brand and this can make a huge difference to the print bill for the home user or small business.

The compatible CLI-526 ink cartridges work with the following inkjet printers

Pixma MX885 Pixma iP4850 Pixma iP4950 Pixma iX6550
Pixma MG5150 Pixma MG5250 Pixma MG5350 Pixma MG6150
Pixma MG6250 Pixma MG8150 Pixma MG8170 Pixma MG8250

These small home printers are ideal for everyday printing such as school home-work and boarding passes and very rarely give any issues with the non-original ink cartridges. Using high quality compatibles ink means also having the advantage of the cartridge holding more ink so not only is the cost lower but you are able to print more pages as well. It’s possible to purchase one of Canon CLI-526 printers for under €80 online and when combined with using the compatible ink cartridges the printer becomes very good value indeed.

What is the Best Printer to Buy this Year in the Pre-Christmas Sales?

Great Christmas gift for home or students - Epson Expression XP
It’s rumoured that one of the most popular Christmas gifts this year for students is a new printer to facilitate the printing of their assignments and boarding passes for their well earn half-term trips! On a serious note, the home printer is a practical Christmas gift for any household, and one that is becoming more and more common.

If we are choosing a printer as a gift there are several factors to consider. Firstly, the printer will need to suit the needs of the user, if it’s a home user then the printer will probably need to be colour and be able to print, scan and copy. The print speed of this printer may not be that important, but, the cost of the ink cartridges certainly will. In fact, one of the most important factors when considering buying a printer as a gift is, the running cost for the person who receives the printer. It might be OK to buy a bargain printer for a friend or loved one, but, if the running costs are astronomical then any good intentions on the part of the buyer are soon lost.

There are a couple of good tips to consider before purchasing the printer, for example, how much will the replacement ink cartridges cost and more importantly, will the printer accept compatible ink cartridges? This information will be available from any good ink seller and is very important, as some printers are more prone to rejecting compatible ink cartridges than others. What are the best printers to consider this year?

Well, we think that if you consider buying the Epson Expression XP range then you won’t go far wrong. This all-in-one range of printers is perfect for the home user or small office. They accept four individual ink cartridges, black, cyan, magenta and yellow and are all individually replaceable which makes it more cost effective than having to replace a full set of cartridges. The Epson printers are also known to be compatible ink friendly and do not give any real issues when it comes to accepting them.

Also, this time of the year lends itself to real bargains when it comes to printers’ as the more popular Christmas gifts are more likely to be TV’s or iPhones. Of course, Epson aren’t the only printers available but to give a more balanced view we also recommend Canon and Brother printers as good presents as they too will offer good value when used with compatible replacement cartridges. So, to give the perfect Christmas gift this year why not give a printer that has all the facilities that modern day life requires such as wireless printing and will be cost effective to run.

Where to Find the Absolute Best Value Epson Compatible T1291 Ink Cartridges

Grab compatible T1295 ink cartridges multipack offer
The original brand Epson T1291 black ink cartridge can retail for as much as €10 online or cost even more if you buy it in the high street. It would seem utter madness to spend that sort of money on an ink cartridge when you buy a perfectly good compatible version of the cartridge for €1 online - yes, that’s €1 (when bought as part of a 20 cartridge pack).

If the price is so low does that mean there is something wrong with the cartridge? Well now, the proof is in the pudding and if you are offered a money-back guarantee with the cartridge what have you go to lose? The T1291 ink cartridge is one of four ink cartridges that work alongside each other in the particular range of printers, the other colours being cyan, magenta and yellow. The pack of four cartridges is known as the T1295, and again, can be bought for as little as €1 when bought a part of a 20 cartridge multipack.

Epson T1295 ink work in each of the following printers:

Epson Stylus Office BX305F Epson Stylus Office BX305FW Epson Stylus Office BX305FW Plus Epson Stylus SX235W
Epson Stylus SX420W Epson Stylus SX425W Epson Stylus SX435W Epson Stylus SX438W
Epson Stylus SX445W Epson Stylus Office B42W Epson Stylus Office B42WD Epson Stylus Office BX320FW
Epson Stylus Office BX525WD Epson Stylus Office BX535WD Epson Stylus Office BX630FW Epson Stylus Office BX625FWD
Epson Stylus Office BX635FWD Epson Stylus Office BX925FWD Epson Stylus Office BX935FWD Epson Stylus SX525WD
Epson Stylus SX535WD Epson Stylus SX620FW Epson Workforce WF-7515

With so many Epson printers using the T1291 ink cartridge it’s no wonder that the original purchase price of the printer was good value. It’s thought that the clever marketing tactic by Epson was to pitch the printer at a low price and then recoup some of its profits by the sale of the original brand Epson printer ink. Of course, the real clever bit can be on the part of the buyer if they buy the printer at a knock-down price and run it on the compatible ink cartridges for €1 each! The print quality of the compatible ink cartridge is fine for everyday printing with virtually no difference in the print quality. In fairness, the only difference would be if you were intending to print photo quality prints, and them to remain without any fading for years to come. If this is the case then it’s fair to say you would be better with the originals but for everything else compatibles are fine.

Printing 2016 A4 Calendars Using a Colour Laser Toner Printer

Print your own customized 2016 calendar at low cost with HP or Brother toner
As 2016 approaches, it’s still not too late to print a customised 2016 calendar, either for the home or the office. If you are in possession of a laser toner printer and, in particular, a colour printer, then printing the calendar yourself should be a fast and simple process. You will, however, need the services of a binder and this can usually be obtained in your local high street print or copy shop who will spiral bind the calendar for a small fee.

The key to printing your own calendar is to, first of all, download a suitable template from the many free online templates currently available. You can decide beforehand if you would like your printer to be A4 or A3 – if your printer will print that size. The beauty of using a laser printer is the speed of which you are able to produce any print whether in black and white or in colour. Of course, these printers will be more expensive than a conventional inkjet printer that is primarily used in the home or a small office. If you can get access to a laser toner printer, then so much the better. There would not be much point in buying a new one just for printing the calendar, as the cost would outweigh the usefulness of the printer for just that purpose.

The cost of using a toner to print the calendar would be minimal as some A4 sheets can be printed for less than half a cent per page in black and white. This is true in the case of HP laser toner and Brother laser toner. This cost is based on 5% coverage of the page – usually with text – and makes it far more affordable than using printer ink cartridges.

Once you have downloaded the calendar template (be sure to check the calendar dates are correct as there are some bogus calendar templates out there!) then it’s just a case of inserting the photo image in position – for example a January winter scene, this should be the first month sorted. Ideally if you have chosen the spiral-bound style you will need to print 13 A4 sheets one side on a light card. You can set all your artwork up first using the template and run them off quite quickly. Once you have all thirteen sheets printed, (there are thirteen by the way as you will require one scene for the cover and twelve pages for each month of the year). Your local copy shop will be able to spiral bind the calendars and this will give them a professional look. A huge tip to save on your printing is to use compatible laser toner where available, the quality is as good as original brand laser toner and you can save yourself a fortune!

2 Pack HP CE505X High Capacity Compatible Black Toner Cartridges Now Available Under €45

Grab 2 packs of HP CE505X black toners under €45
The popularity of the HP CE505A laser toner has increased in recent months with many users opting to go for the high capacity CE505X version that is proving better value with more pages to print. This black printer toner works with several mono printers and gives good sharp print results time after time. It is especially suited for printing reports and black and white documentation and ideal for the office or the busy home user.

The standard original brand HP CE505A laser toner retails online for around €85 but it's possible to get a twin pack of the compatible version for as little as €40 with low cost next day delivery! The CE505A compatible toner will print approximately 2300 pages @ 5% coverage but it’s big brother the HP CE505X will print up to 6500 pages. The original brand HP CE505X is €90 to buy online but again, the compatible version is available as a twin pack for under €45. The compatible CE505X will give you approximately 6500 pages @ 5% coverage on paper. A good guide to exactly what this covers would be to base your print on text only and any images will reduce the amount of pages that it will print.

HP laser toner in general is used mostly in office environments and it’s easy to run through a toner cartridge quickly especially if there are some text and image documents being printed. The cost of running the printer can become expensive and it’s always a good idea to consider using the compatible version as they can cost up to 50% less to buy. Some people may have had concerns in the past about using compatible or non-original printer toner but with compatible toner now tested to the same ISO standards as the original brand, the quality and reliability should be the same as the original brand.

There is one instance where the compatible laser toner may give issues and that is with the printing of address labels. It’s possible that in some cases the toner may not adhere to an adhesive label but to our knowledge this is the only instance where you might have cause to use the original brand laser toner. For everyday general purpose printing the compatible HP CE505A or CE505X laser toner is ideal and can reduce your spending by 50% across a typical year if you are currently using the original brand.

The Best Value Compatible Epson T0711 Ink Cartridges on the Market

Best Multipack Deal on Buying Compatible Epson T0715 Ink Cartridges
The Epson T0711 ink cartridge is used in many Epson small-in-one printers and has become one of the biggest selling Epson ink cartridges of all time. The T0711 ink cartridges are black although the printer uses four colours in total, as well as the black there is the T0712 Cyan, T0713 Magenta and T0714 Yellow. The full set of four cartridges bought as a pack is labelled as the Epson T0715 ink cartridges. There are basically two types of printer ink you can buy on the market at the moment. Firstly, the original brand ink manufactured by Epson and the compatible version of the same inks produced by a third-party manufacturer.

The cost of a set of Epson T017 original brand cartridges bought online can cost as much as €50 with a total of 24ml of ink in the four ink cartridges. In complete contrast the compatible version of the same pack of cartridges are available for a little over €1 with low cost delivery when you buy five packs, so that’s actually 40 compatible ink cartridges for the same price as 4 original brand ink cartridges. Not only that, but the ink volume of the compatible cartridges is 52ml and that is over double the ink volume of the originals! No wonder many people have already switched to the compatible version of the T0711 cartridges.

Buying compatible SX215 ink is a typical example of how to save money on your printing using these high quality non-original cartridges that are ideal for every day printing at home and in the office. The compatible SX200 ink cartridges are equally good value at just over €1 per cartridge and again for general-purpose printing it’s the perfect price to pay for your ink cartridges.

In the past some users may have had concerns over using the compatible version of any ink cartridges but there is no need for concern these days as the non-original cartridges are manufactured to the same high ISO standard as the original cartridges. All reputable suppliers of the compatible inks will offer a money-back guarantee on their cartridges in an effort to give peace of mind to their customers. The savings to be gained by using the compatible version of the Epson T0711 for a busy home of small office are massive and can help put a dent in the end of year expenses for printer ink.
